Construction on the much-anticipated Tema-Aflao Road has officially resumed under the leadership of BHM, a move widely hailed by local communities and travelers. After months of inactivity due to funding challenges, crews are now back on site with renewed commitment and financial backing.
“We are delighted to see work resume. This road is critical for trade and economic activity, and we’re confident it will ease congestion and improve travel times,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Roads and Highways, as quoted by JoyNews.
Reports also indicate that stakeholders have come to an agreement on the necessary funding, ensuring no further disruptions to the project. Representatives from BHM expressed optimism about meeting the revised timeline and maintaining high construction standards.
“We’ve secured the resources needed to expedite work safely and efficiently,”
noted a BHM representative in an interview with MyJoyOnline.
Industry experts believe that once completed, the road will significantly reduce travel time, boost commerce, and support economic growth along the corridor.
