BHM Acquires Iconic Mowlem Brand

In a strategic move to align with its illustrious heritage, the international operations transitioned to the iconic Mowlem name, rebranding BHM Construction International (UK) Limited to Mowlem International Ltd in March 2024.

As a civil engineering company based in the UK, Mowlem International Ltd specialises in the financing, designing, and building of infrastructure projects. Established in 2017 as the UK headquarters for the Bahamian-based civil engineering group, the company transitioned to its current management team in 2021. With considerable investment, Mowlem has positioned itself as a key infrastructure partner for select governments in Africa and the Caribbean, securing its first significant $215 million construction contract in Ghana in 2021.

Mowlem is actively expanding its portfolio, with a range of growth opportunities valued at approximately $900 million under discussion. These opportunities span finance, design, and build projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, underscoring Mowlem’s commitment to infrastructure development on a global scale.
