Commencing in 2024, this project is the first step in a broader redevelopment of Guyana’s key aviation hub. The new arrivals terminal will dramatically improve passenger capacity, boosting processing to 1,000 passengers per hour, with expansion potential up to 1,500. This phase introduces modern e-gates and aims to accommodate up to 2.5 million passengers annually. The broader redevelopment also includes redesigning the existing terminal, developing cargo handling infrastructure, upgrading apron and runway areas, and establishing new airline routes through partnerships with Manchester Airport Group
